The historiacal wine village of Nennig has become renowned due to the 1852 discovery of non of the best-preserved, Roman mosaicfloors north of the Alps.
As in the whole of the Moselle Valley, wine production has a very long tradition.
The sunny, warm climate, (Nennig holds the record for the hottest village in Germany, set in 1983), as well as the soil in the south and south-west region of the village make Nennig ideal for fruit white and red wine production.
Elbling, Auxerrois, Blauer Spätburgunder/Pinot noir, Weissburgunder/Pinot blanc, Burgunder; Riesling or Muller- Thurgau count amongst the more popular wines of the region and are marketed locally by our wine-producers.
